Lightroom Lens Profile?

I just got 5.2, but on some of my pictures the lens profile model is not available in the pull down in lens correction. It must be there, it is the nikon dx 16-85 but it only shows a few (8) nikon options. I am using RAW.

How can I get the full available Nikon, or any brand's, lens profiles to automatically show in the profiles? Thanks.

Try running the Lightroom v5.7 update and see where that gets you.

If you never have the lens profiles, something is wrong with LR but if you have the profiles for other shots but not for that, something is wrong with the file. Try importing the original file again.

I don't know if your file is fresh out of the cam or not but if it is edited elsewhere, it might suffer issues in LR. In my case this only happens when my files aren't RAW. A TIFF version suffers the same problem.

OK guys....I went and rechecked what I had imported and it was the jpeg. I thought I had the RAW, since the camera assigns the same number I must have grabbed the wrong one.

It works now, and thanks for prompting me to confirm RAW. Sorry for the bone headed thread.

It's quite the list yeah. My only annoyance is that it selects my Nikons automatically when I use corrections but the Tamron I have to select myself. That info is too in the Exif data so I don't understand why it doesn't work.

Maybe because Nikon wants you to use their own 1000.00 dollar 150-600mm lens.......Oh wait..they don't have one!:excitement:
