Elements upgrade

I currently use PS Elements, and have the Elements/Premier Elements 11 bundle (as I thought I may "do" video at some point - which I havent)

If I want to upgrade to 13, does anyone know if I have to buy the Elements/Premier Elements upgrade, or can I get away with just buying the Elements upgrade?

I don't believe Adobe has ever offered upgrades to Elements, has it? I was always under the assumption that you had to buy new software.

That is the US price for Elements 13 without Premier.

Every time I open Elements 11, an upgrade offer pops up. But perhaps the UK version does not do this????:)

I'll let y'all know when I decide to buy 13. The price usually drops the next day, if not within a few hours. :)

I'm not 100% sure if you can upgrade only Photoshop elements, but I would go with 99% for 'yes'. Even though my version 12 came bundled in one box, there was a separate serial number for PhotoShop Elements and Premiere. They are separate stand-alone products and I would think you could upgrade separately without issue. You could probably open a chat window on the Adobe site and get a quick 100% answer.

I don't know if the student pricing works the same over there, but the student price here in the US is $69.99 (at B&H) for the bundle, $10 cheaper than the single upgrade. So if you have a student or teacher in your family, that might be something to consider. I've done it once or twice, it was fairly painless to email my daughter's report card.

That is my life story.

Hark clued me in awhile back to that camelcamel thing she mentioned above. It is pretty cool, they email you when Amazon drops a price. I've been using it for a few months now. Amazon likes to experiment with prices. Sometime you can catch a nice steep, but brief, price drop.

Thanks for that, I hadnt thought about looking to see if I can chat with someone about it.

Last time I looked into student software (cant remember which one now) the comany wanted email address for the student. My daughter doesnt recall having a college email address. I've asked her to speak to her teacher to find out if they can supply proof she is registered and attending their college.
