Best portrait editing software?

I have been looking at Imagenomics Portraiture skin retouching add on for photoshop, and was wondering if anyone else has used this or has used something similar or even better. It's $200 which is a bit much to just lay down without hearing some input from you all on a program. I have also been looking at the Nik Collection and odds are will be getting that soon too, But I am just trying to find a way to help improve my editing process and create better images overall. I appreciate any input!!

I use the onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 that includes Perfect Portrait 8. For the price of the Imagenomics add-on you can buy the full onOne suite. I don't do a lot of portraits, but I use many of the other tools. You may want to download a trial and see if the money is better spent there. The other tools complement the Nik Collection fairly well. I have a review of the features vs. Nik here...

I can't possibly know what suits your tastes, pocket, ability and operating system but I have Aperture, Nik, Perfect 8 and Snapseed.

Wow, that was some great information! I will give it a test, I appreciate the quick response.

I just don't want to become broke instantly is all, and was hopefully looking for something I can grow with as I become more and more informed on the program, if that makes any sense. My OS is windows 8, all my files are just on this laptop and an external hard drive.

Portrait Professional does a good job and it is a lot cheaper than that PS add in. You have to be careful with it sometimes, because it can do funny things to teeth and irides.

I use Portrait Professional Studio and it is great. As with any retouching programs you do have to be careful not to overdo it.

When it comes to Nik, Run don't walk to your computer and buy it. It is a must in post processing.
