Adobe CC hacking incident and their "protect my id" offer from Experian

I assume those of us who are CC members received the letter yesterday detailing the free 1 yr subscription to "protectmyid" that Adobe is providing due to their computers being hacked. While I think this is a great idea and is the least they could do, I'm surprised the offer comes so late and has a very small window for sign-up. The hacking occurred over a month ago and the letter I received is dated 10-21 but what is more disconcerting is the offer is good until 10-28, giving most of us a whopping 2 days to sign up.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else has signed up and if you received the offer and have signed up yet.

Dave, mine is dated Oct 15th and I also have until Feb 28th to sign up... Mine was because I purchased Lightroom Online.... (not a CC member)

Hi All..has anyone used this lens and what do you think of it? I see it running for about $650..which seems good for a 2.8 lens...

Are you serious??
You pay for a cloud service and you'll pay for protecting it too? Shouldn't that be something that comes off the shelf with your cc membership?
Not only have all your personal details been hacked into, with you having no idea if you were one of those whose details were stolen and no idea what the folks who did the hacking in the first place might do with it, now you are asked to pay for 'online identity theft' which had already happened! Once the year is up you are going to be dishing out $16/month, which am sure would go up sooner or later... Shouldn't you all who have cc membership be pushing adobe for something more than just another Avenue for revenue for them?? Sounds very much like the 'for your security' line to me.
