Hello!
I have already posted a thread on another forum here, but figured I should introduce myself.
I am an RN, have been doing Labor & Delivery for 16 years now. Currently working in Louisiana, but my family and horses are still in SE Ga and I'm hoping to get a job soon to get back home.
I have two grown (well, if you wanna call them that!) kids 19 & 22, 9 dogs, 2 cats and 15 horses. We raise quarter horses for barrel racing, and also my daughter, mother and I all barrel race. Obviously, horses and barrel racing are my passion! BUT, I have always wanted to get into photography, but only have experience with P&S type compacts. Finally managed to buy a D90 after wanting a camera like this for over 10 yrs and am very excited about learning how to use it.
I have no disillusionment about ever going pro, but would be awesome to make some money on the side, however, my true goal is to take excellent pictures. I particularly like taking macro shots, and of course horse pix, including barrel racing.
I've already learned a TON of info on this site, and am impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the members here and I look forward to learning more as I progress in my skills.
Thanks!!
