Did nothing but convert to jpg, I shot this with my 18-200.

I think I would have shot this one in the vertical or portrait format. That way you would not have cut off the top of the head and left the chin sitting on the bottom of the frame. A portrait format would pick up the hands and the part of the arm she is resting on. That would also eliminate the empty space to the right. The hands would present a more interesting part of the composition. Hands are commonly used in both formal and informal portraits for framing the face and adding lines leading to the main subject. Cutting off part of the hair is ok because it's secondary to the main subject. My general rule in shooting individuals is to use a vertical format. That almost always works better for the composition. You have a great subject here and I'm sure you will be taking a lot more shots of her in the future.
