Hello from MinnesOta,

I'm new to photography and will probably be buying a D90.

I like my kids sporting events, landscapes, storms, wildlife and macro the best. I haven't made up my mind about lenses yet, for obvious reasons.

This looks like a really cool sight with a lot of good people in it.

Just be forewarned, I may drive some of you nuts with questions. : )

Be talkin' to ya,

Ken

Welcome to Nikonites from a former Minnesotan! Glad you found the site and lots of folks ready, willing and able to help you out!

Another welcome, this time from a current Minnesotan. Hopefully the weekend's storms didn't give you things to take pictures for to submit to insurance.

Thanks for the welcome, Luckily, it went north of us here at Willmar. Some of the folks north of us and the cities really got hammered though. So where are/were you folks from?

Are you saying I need to call home? All my family still lives up there, still love the lakes, hate the mosquitos. I grew up in NE Mpls, bros& sis live from St. Peter up to Cloquet.

I'm in Minnetonka. I think the storm skipped a few miles north and east of us or something, because despite the scary looking radar images we only got about 3/4" of rain and some slightly strong breezes.

@Yibel: I think the southern part of the state was pretty well spared. It was mostly from the cities and up north that got hammered. But if your family asks why you never call anymore, don't tell them it's because I told you not to. :D
