Well just got asked to do some photography for a real estate company here in Darwin, have given them a pricing per property, they have accepted $150 per property max 10 images with minor editing.

Well done Scott - I do some real estate images for a company from time to time. Dust of your wide angle lens!

Good job!

I'm interested to see any work or workshops that you do for these. I had some people ask about shooting their buildings for kicks and I know there's an art form to it. So it would be interesting to see your process.

Once I get some shots I will post here. I have only done it for fun so getting paid to do it will be an interesting challenge.

Congrats on the work, paid work is always good! I have done real estate photos for years and even web sites for individual properties, always enjoy doing it. One suggestion is to always watch the perspective, nothing worse that perspective distorion when using wide lenses, my 14-24 is my favorite and lightroom (Lens Correction) does a great job and the transform tools in PS. Have fun, beats the heck out of a wedding!

do multiple shots with different exposures. then HDR LIGHTLY. so you have balanced exposure.

your 16-35/14mm lenses are excellent. youre stopping down anyway. try not to shoot wider than 24mm if you dont have to and take a bit extra in the scene so you can do a perspective control edit later on for the building tipping image were so used to.

not the heck, but weddings have pluses and minuses. RE shooting is nice because you have a calm stress free pace and youre not dealing with bridezillas.

pluses
most friendly people
good food
good atmosphere
love is in the air
adrenaline rush
money..eh, not always
photography and being creative

minuses
stress to get the shot
bridezilla
fake
drunk people
elbowed on the dance floor
demanding cocky people-kissing ass is not my forte
need a lot of money for gear
a lot on your feet
editing afterwards
a lot of time to put in to get back pay and pay isnt always great

I think I will use my 16-35 only as I find the distortion with the 14mm can be too much at times and would take extra time editing.
