The Home of a Midwife

This cabin was the home of a mid-19th century midwife. For our Euro-friends, that's old here in the Colonies.

She reportedly birthed more than 1000 babies, all of which survived infancy.

Ironically, none of her own 24 children lived beyond infancy. 24 babies. Think about it.
